Who is Rich Earl?

Rich Earl is a 27 year veteran of pastoral ministry in a variety of contexts and roles. He has been lead pastor at Mountainside Assembly of God, a progressive missional congregation, in Coal Township, Pa. in the heart of Pennsylvania’s anthracite coal region since 1998.

Education & Experience

Rich earned his BA in Journalism from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. and also attended Berean School of the Bible. He specializes in church revitalization, missional outreach, and leadership coaching. He has been published in Rev Magazine and The Pentecostal Evangel.

Originally from Valley Stream, NY he has also served as associate pastor at Bethel Assembly of God in Franklin Square, NY, Director and houseparent at Calvary’s Comfort Maternity Home in Selden, NY, Youth Pastor at Calvary Full Gospel in Yaphank, NY, and Senior Pastor at Hampton Bays Assembly of God, all on his native Long Island, NY.

Service

Rich is founder and president of the Lehigh Christian Alumni: an alumni affinity group at Lehigh University. He serves as board chair of Expectations Women’s Center in Lewisburg, Pa. and of Vision for Growth, a Christian action group serving the communities of Shamokin and Coal Township, Pa.

Family

Rich lives with his wife Faith and three children in Sunbury, PA.
